Fun with the Camera

Miss Jordis is 3 1/2 months old today, and I love to play around with the cool features on our digital camera. So here she is, our subject!!

Fun New Things

Jordis has a fun new seat called a "BebePOD" that lets her feel like a really big girl. She can only do about 5 minutes in it right now, but she LOVES being able to look around from this view!

"Big Sister With Fur"

Somebody around here is feeling neglected, so she's due for some adequate face time, I think.

Madeline Beastie Martin , whelped 8/29/1995, 50 lbs, no idea height (short) or length (stubby). This baby sleeps at least 18 hours a day, eats 2 cups of premium Science Diet Food, and likes to chew on bones and bat at toys. Favorite pastimes besides sleeping and eating are watching NASCAR with Mom and Dad, barking at the doorbell and leaving the room when Jordis cries.

Happy Mother's Day

Jordis is "officially" 12 weeks old today! Happy Mom's day, everyone!

Week 11 begins!

Jordis decided on Thursday night that it would be really nice to let mom and dad sleep, so she ate at 9 and didn't wake up again until 5! On Friday she did the same thing, only this time it was 8 1/2 hours! We can only hope that this will continue. Nice Mother's Day gift, no?

And now, for my next act..

At 9 weeks old, I have discovered that if I hold this thing, I can shake it with my left hand for about 10 minutes.












And sometimes I'll hold it for about 5 minutes in my right hand and make noise too. I like my left hand better though.











This smiling thing is getting easier. It makes mom & dad happy, that's for sure!













When I'm done with the workout, the beanbag is a nice place to lounge so I can keep an eye on my parents while they try to entertain me.

2 months old!

Jordis weighs in at 11.5 pounds, and 23 inches long! She had her first set of immunizations, which was harder on Mom & Dad than on her, I think.

Happy Easter

Jordis got to go to Church with us for the first time this Easter. She slept through the sermon though. :)

Visitors keep coming!

Auntie Robin came all the way from Cincinnati to spend time with us, and Anita got to have some retail therapy without Jordis for the first time in almost 2 months!
Rob, girl, it was great catching up. What would I do without ya? See you soon.











Jordis at 7 weeks!

Random Jordis

These are what we call "Picasso Jordis". It's fun to capture all the little baby bits before they become big baby bits! She's 7 weeks now!

Smiles and Buckeyes

Jordis found her smile this week, which has been fabulous, and also found the moving ceiling fan, which she loves (just like her cousin Brendan!!)






Jordis proves she's a daredevil like mom and dad by choosing to support Ohio State in Joe Paterno country. Go Bucks!


PS - almost 6 weeks old!

Fun things

Jordis had her first "real" bath since her cord fell off, and she actually liked the water!











Then, she worked the 'do with a new bow and a pretty nightgown.

Yippee! I am One Month Old!!

Mom and Dad have survived the first month and are really getting the hang of parenting. Just look at Dad wrangling that bottle!

More Fun with Family!

This past week Aunt Shelley came to visit and stayed for 4 days. Jordis loved every minute of it! Thank you Aunt Shelley!!



Being a Baby is such hard work!!

Grandparents and Aunts!

Grandma Brenda, Grandpa Mark, and Aunt Jena visited us last weekend, and Grandma Brenda was nice enough to stay for a week to help Anita out with 3 week old Jordis. Fun was had by all! :)

Aunt Shelley whipped out the sewing machine and made these outfits for Jordis!

Week Two and in the Groove!

Jordis is sleeping 5 hours a night, feeds like champ, and is able to put herself to sleep when it's naptime. We are REALLY lucky. We figure she will pay us back when she is a teenager :)

She LOVES being talked to (especially when Daddy is chatting!) and thinks that Madeline is pretty cool as well.

Mom is going to play photographer today and try to get the perfect picture for the announcement. (What Fun!!)
