Jordis had her first "real" bath since her cord fell off, and she actually liked the water!











Then, she worked the 'do with a new bow and a pretty nightgown.

Yippee! I am One Month Old!!

Mom and Dad have survived the first month and are really getting the hang of parenting. Just look at Dad wrangling that bottle!

More Fun with Family!

This past week Aunt Shelley came to visit and stayed for 4 days. Jordis loved every minute of it! Thank you Aunt Shelley!!

Grandparents and Aunts!

Grandma Brenda, Grandpa Mark, and Aunt Jena visited us last weekend, and Grandma Brenda was nice enough to stay for a week to help Anita out with 3 week old Jordis. Fun was had by all! :)

Week Two and in the Groove!

Jordis is sleeping 5 hours a night, feeds like champ, and is able to put herself to sleep when it's naptime. We are REALLY lucky. We figure she will pay us back when she is a teenager :)

She LOVES being talked to (especially when Daddy is chatting!) and thinks that Madeline is pretty cool as well.

Mom is going to play photographer today and try to get the perfect picture for the announcement. (What Fun!!)

First Week at Home

Jordis had a fun-filled first week at home. In exchange for a few diaper changes, Jordis agreed to help daddy get caught up on his P&G e-mail. She's quite good with the laptop (see pic).

Our New Arrival

Jordis Josephine Martin is here! She weighed in at 7lbs 15 ozs and is 18.5 inches long. Mom & baby are doing well and resting up (the proud new Dad is posting this).

Waddleing as an Olympic Sport

OK, so we go to the Dr. today at 2, and hopefully Baby Martin will get some help and "encouragement" from induction tactics.

Anita thinks that Waddleing should become an Olympic Sport in 2010, and she should get the gold medal :) The baby has dropped so far down that she has forgotten what it actually feels like to walk like a human!!

We are trying to stay optimistic, and tell ourselves that Monday is only 41 weeks, which is typical for first time moms. Kinda tough to do though!

She's still not here!

We were due yesterday, the 13th, (40 weeks) but baby girl has other ideas ! We go to the Dr. again on Friday if she hasn't made her grand entrance into the world...and will probably discuss inducing as an option.

We are both mentally exhausted with the "waiting game", but the Dr.'s typically say there's a reason why babies wait....and 80% of them come between 39-42 weeks...so technically we still could have a way to go!

Happy Valentine's Day!

P&G Shower, January 24th, 2006!

Ty's co workers at P&G threw us a surprise shower on January 24th, (although it was really only a surprise for Ty, because Anita ended up knowing about it!)

We had a great time with the games, and were overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness !!!

The Family & Friends Shower was held at the Belmont Hills Country Club in St. C., and was hosted by the Mom's, Aunt Shelley, Aunt Jena, Great-Gram, and Great Aunt Cherel. Anita had a fabulous time, and Ty came at the end to see everyone, say hi, and most importantly, load up the car *wink*
